Baltimore Police Department Southern District Captain Brian Hance provided the following crime updates:
In Federal Hill:
Over the weekend there were two robberies, 1400 William St. (4/10/15) at 11:14 pm and 1300 William St. (4/11/15) at 9:30pm. The suspect(s) are armed with a handgun and approaching their victims from behind on foot. The description is a black male approximately 25 yoa, 6’2”, athletic build, short hair, wearing a black sweat pants, and tennis shoes. The second description for the second incident is a black male 20-25 yoa, 5’7” 120 lbs, black hoody with sliver stripes and dark pants with a face mask. The suspect fled north on 1300 Williams St. It is believed that the suspect is possibly the same person in both incidents.
If you see anyone matching the description, please call 911. If any residents or business have video cameras that might have captured the individual on tape, please contact the Southern District.
In Sharp-Leadenhall:
On April 11, 2015 at approximately 9:14 pm, four juveniles attempted to rob a pizza delivery driver in the 200 block of W. Henrietta St. The group of juveniles threw a rock at the delivery driver’s vehicle. Once the delivery driver exited his vehicle, the juveniles ran up to the driver and began pulling on his clothes demanding money. The delivery driver pulled away from the juveniles and drove away, and called the police. There was not any property taken from the driver. The Southern District patrol officers responded, and located the all juveniles a short distance away. All the juveniles were taken into custody and charged.
Update on 4/14 from Baltimore Police Department Southern District Major Ian Dombroski:
In reference to these cases, an additional robbery was reported last night at about 11:55pm in the unit block of E Randall. Taken was a wallet and phone. No arrest has been made at this point, however we did gather information on a vehicle used by the robbers:
Older model cream or white Lincoln Continental (or Cadillac / Gran Marquis type vehicle). It was last seen travelling in the 1500 block of Patapsco Street. Please call police if suspect(s) seen matching description especially in above described vehicle area of Federal Hill South and Riverside neighborhoods. We are deploying extra resources to include plain clothes police in the area tonight and until an arrest is made. Please remind everyone to contact police immediately if they are a victim or witness to any similar incident.
