Pixilated Federal Hill Opens
Pixilated Federal Hill has opened at 46 E. Cross St. Pixilated is debuting with a gallery called OffBEAT, a salon-style “anything goes” art show. Pixilated intends to host art exhibits, pop-up shops, installations, and more. The space is run by Pixilated Photo Booth, an event photo booth company based in Morrell Park, where they also co-host StartUp Soirée with Intrinsic Events.
Pixilated Federal Hill will also have a photo booth flush-mounted into the window so individuals passing by can take pictures 24/7 and have the images emailed to them. The window will also feature a screen showing a slideshow of pictures taken at the booth, as well as a real-time Instagram slideshow including photos tagged in the area using hashtags and geotags.
The Weave Palace Relocates to Former Amanda Austin Space
The Weave Palace has relocated from 1047 S. Charles St., but is hasn’t gone very far. The Federal Hill salon is now open just down the street at 1020 S. Charles St. at the former home of Amanda Austin Interiors, which recently moved to Lutherville under with a new name of Emerald Hill Interiors. Amanda Austin passed away in 2013 after a battle with cancer. From a post on the Emerald Hill Facebook Page:

Hack|Stone Film Group Relocates to Power Plant
Hack|Stone Film Group, a full-service creative, production and post-production house, has relocated from 1459 Light St. in Federal Hill to a larger studio downtown at Power Plant Live. Hack|Stone Film Group’s former space currently has a ‘for rent’ sign on the window and the building is also currently for sale.
FreshStart PC Service Center Opens on Key Hwy.
FreshStart PC Service Center has opened at 1414 Key Hwy. at Suite M100 in Federal Hill. On its website, FreshStart describes itself as “a revolutionary new solution to your PC Performance and security problems,” with its goal “to double the lifespace of your Microsoft PC while performing its performance and security.”
Remodel at The Himalayan House
The Himalayan House at 1522 E. Fort Ave. in Locust Point was recently remodeled to include new seating at the front of the restaurant. It is also collecting donations for the recovery in Nepal following the devastating earthquakes.
