On October 4, 2015 there were two armed robberies.
Location: 1100 Riverside, 10:15 pm
Location: 400 Grindall St, 10:18 pm
The suspects are described as two African American males, 5’9 to 5’10 in their teens to the ages of young adults. Both subjects were wearing dark pants and dark sweatshirts with hoods. Suspects were seen leaving the location in a white van. If you see any suspicious activity or individuals fitting this description, please call the 911. Our detectives are currently investigating these two incidents, as well as officers on patrol.

Burglary arrest
October 2, 2015 / Baltimore, Md – 51-year old Andre Gilliard has been arrested and charged with two commercial burglaries in South Baltimore.
On August 15, 2015, officers were called to a café located at 1121 Light Street for a report of a burglary. When officers arrived they found a shattered glass door to the café. Officers entered the location and found damage to the inside of the café. A short time later, the business owner arrived at the location and found money missing from inside.
On September 26, 2015, officers were called to a coffee shop located at 209 Key Highway for a report of a burglary. When officers arrived they found a broken front door to the business. Investigators believe after damaging the front door, a suspect entered the location and removed money and other property from the store.
During both investigations, detectives were able to use surveillance video to identify a suspect. On October 1, 2015, detectives arrested Andre Gilliard. He is charged with burglary, theft, and destruction of property. Gilliard is currently being held at the Central Booking and Intake Facility. Detectives are working to determine if the suspect is responsible for any other burglaries.
