James DiPino, Andrew Dunlap and Sean White, the team behind Banditos Bar & Kitchen in Federal Hill, are moving forward with a plan to purchase C&R Pub, which is located across the street from Banditos at 1117 S. Charles St. C&R Pub was recently under contract with a different restaurant group, but the deal fell through.
The Banditos’ team presented their plans at last month’s South Baltimore Neighborhood Association (SBNA) General Membership meeting and the plans were unanimously approved. The team does not plan to make any significant changes to C&R outside of the food menu. They described the new menu as “neighborhood-style BBQ” and plan to add dishes such as steaks, ribs, and full chickens.
“We want to give people another great place to eat in Federal Hill,” said White during the meeting.
The team was drawn to the opportunity because of C&R’s large kitchen. They also plans to offer a catering menu at C&R.
There will be an upcoming Board of Liquor License Commissioners for Baltimore City (BLLC) hearing for the liquor license transfer.
