Federal Hill Main Street Release:
Federal Hill Main Street is announcing a new event — Federal Hill Field Day! Saturday, July 12th, from 11am until 2pm, Federal Hill Park will be the spot where neighbors get together for some good old fashioned fun!
Designed to be a community building activity, Field Day will be FREE to all participants. Teams of 8-10 can be made up of any group you choose — neighbors, co-workers, friends, community groups — and all ages are encouraged to participate. One person signs up the group at https://www.eventbrite.com/e/federal-hill-field-day-tickets-11699003033. All participants receive a free Field Day t-shirt in their team’s color. Teams must be registered in advance, as there will be a limited number of spots available.
The event will consist of a variety of traditional Field Day competitions, from tug-o-war to sack races to water balloons. No special skills are required; just a desire to have some fun and friendly competition with people from all over Federal Hill and South Baltimore.
Spectators are also encouraged to join in the festivities. In addition to the games, there will be other activities throughout the park.
Food or drink will not be available for purchase at the event; attendees and participants are encouraged to pick up their Field Day Fuel at one of the participating neighborhood eateries, or pack a picnic. Check out www.historicfederalhill.org for the most updated list of participating restaurants.
