Moriconi was a resident of the 1200 block of Riverside Ave. BPD Chief Spokesman T.J. Smith said he had just left a relative’s home in the same general vicinity of Federal Hill and was believed to be walking back to his residence. Smith noted that BPD does not know yet if this was a robbery. BPD has received some video evidence but needs more information to “fill in some of the blanks.” The department is asking anyone with video to text it to 443-902-4824 or email it to homicidetips@baltimorepolice.org.
Metro Crime Stoppers made the following flyer.
Councilman Eric Costello posted the following update to Facebook:
The most important thing at this point is catching the killer in the first 72 hours. I was just on at the crime scene about two hours ago and there are at least five BPD Detectives working this case, as is the situation with any homicide. These are some of the most competent Detectives I have worked with and the Lead Detective is who I would consider the very best our City has to offer. What I can say is that they have collected a lot of evidence and are progressing in their investigation. Please see and SHARE the attached flyer — please note the picture in the poster is the victim.
Regarding additional deployments and other public safety resources, more info to follow in the next two hours, please stay tuned.
A candlelight vigil will be held tonight in honor or Timothy Moriconi on the 1200 block of Riverside Avenue near Gittings Ave.
