The new center will feature two large yoga studios, one of which will be equipped for heated yoga, as well as changing rooms and a curated boutique.

Charm City Yoga was founded in 2000 by Kim Manfredi and husband Chris Blades. Manfredi began studying yoga and meditation in 1988 to help facilitate healing after a severe fall that resulted in four broken vertebrae. She later began teaching in 1992.

Charm City Yoga’s first location was at 107 E. Preston St. in Midtown and their Federal Hill studio was the company’s fourth. Charm City Yoga now has seven locations and more than 100 teachers in the Baltimore area.

The company recently partnered with Locust Point’s Under Armour, which is now the official outfitter of Charm City Yoga instructors. “We are especially proud of our new partnership with Under Armour,” said co-founder Chris Blades in a press release. “UA is dedicated to creating top-performing yoga apparel designed to help the practitioner, and not just to look good. Our instructors provide continual product feedback to UA.”

With a larger space, Charm City Yoga will bring national-level yoga teachers to Baltimore, as well as offer them more space for their sell-out teacher training programs. Charm City Yoga offers classes in their signature hot Vinyasa Yoga style, as well as Astanga and Astanga-Mysore style, Kundalini, restorative yoga, gentle yoga, Hatha yoga and pregnancy yoga.
